CREATING BEAUTIFUL SMILES WITH
A beautiful smile contributes to a better mood, it affects self-esteem, and it allows us to make a good impression on others.
At our dental clinic, we offer advanced methods and technologies with which we aid the whiteness and health of your smile. Dental hygienists clean teeth, examine patients for signs of oral diseases such as gingivitis, and provide other preventive dental care. They also educate patients on ways to improve and maintain good oral health.
A dental hygienist is a registered dental care professional who is specially trained in preventative dental care. Their main role is to professionally clean your teeth and show you the best way to keep your mouth healthy. They may give advice on diet to prevent dental decay and suggest ways on stopping smoking. Fissure sealants and fluoride treatment, that your dentist may suggest, may also be a treatment done by the hygienist.
What can I expect from my first appointment with the hygienist?
Each patient is treated as an individual, so your appointment will be tailored to your needs and concerns. These may vary from a gum health assessment, professional cleaning, advise on homecare products, dietary advice, smoking cessation and any bad breath issues.
How long does a hygiene appointment take?
Patient's needs differ and we pride ourselves on ensuring that the length of any appointment is tailored to your needs. This may vary between 30 -60 minute appointment times which include time for our sterilisation/decontamination process between patients. The most common appointments with hygienist are 30 minutes.
